Mice and Men

November 27, 2005

    Woohoo!

Well, almost a ‘Woohoo!’… I bought a new mouse yesterday, the not-so-new Logitech MX1000 laser mouse. I was really considering either one of the G-series or one of the Razer’s… However, I would have had to order them, as there isn’t a shop in town that carries them. >_<

That’s really not something I like to do with something as personal as a mouse or keyboard, so I settleed for buying this older mouse at the same price. I pretty much already knew it was the one I was going to buy, but still. And to top it off, it didn’t even work, and I’m waiting for Logitech’s support suplier to send me a new reciever base- I hope that fixes it.

I’ll give Logitech some credit- they were extremely fast and curteous with my request for support, and offered to replace the reciever/charging base in the first email. I tried what they suggested (even though I’d already done all of it) and it still didn’t work, so I emailed them back with that information and my shipping address. I’m almost positive that it is an overseas company, but with emails that doesn’t matter much, and I expect that they’ll ship it tommorow.

Harry Potter & Goblet of Fire Movie

November 24, 2005

Not bad, not bad at all.

My biggest complaint about it is that you really, really have had to read the 4th book for this movie to make any sense whatsoever- I mean, you’ll get the gener overplot, but all the little details were just hinted at, but nothing really important was said about them. >_<

War From a Different Perspective

November 13, 2005

Whew.

Just finished a PowerPoint presentation on the Viet Cong, as part of a project my teacher assigned called ‘War From a Different Perspective.” The idea was to research a well known war, but from a lesser well known perspective. I chose Vietnam, becuase it is till a relatively well known war, but wouldn’t creat quite so much controversy as say, the 2nd Gulf War. (War in Irag). I hope that my presentation will go well tommorow. >_< I still have to come up with a ‘class activity’. Argh.
