I have a picture on the wall above my desc showing a guy out in the middle of a frozen lake, playing hocky on a peice of cleared ice. Next to the rink is a small camper, and below it, the Henry David Thoreau quote: “But for my part, I preffered the solitary dwelling.”
That’s what I felt like today. We were pretty much snowed in, and I kept to myself all day, reading and writing… It’s left me feeling peaceful. A disconnection from the busy, haphazard world around us. I appreciate solitude, as much of a social creature as I am.
